I was just wondering if you have a book with parts just for my 1973 2dr Caprice Classic with interior, and accessories.

Mark, We're currently out of printed catalogs, but you can shop online for your Caprice at www.impalas.com. Keep in mind, however, that not many manufacturers are making trim parts for 1971-76 models, so our selection is limited. With more interest in the Seventies big Chevys, that could change.

Mike, I had the same problem not finding parts for the 1973 Caprice Convertible. It is about time the manufactures realize the number of people restoring 73 - 76 great. I would buy new chrome and interior if presented the opportunity. NOS is extremely expensive and hard to find. So come on manufactures, make some good ole American parts in USA, not China by the way.

I have ordered from Bob's in the past and I am satisfied to have found parts for my 69 Impala convertible. However, I have not been able to find the trim that goes behind the sun visors that attaches above the windshield. Also the metal or plastic pieces that sit under the headlights just behind the bumper. I hope you can help.

I'm new to Impala Bob's but love it already! I have 2 White 1964 Chevy Impalas, both all original, one is True the other is an SS. Your prices are very reasonable and believe me, once I get some cash reserved in the bucket, I'll be buying that weather stripping and side mirrors. That's about all these 2 beauties need that are in my garage! Thank you for the rag newsletter, it's all very informative!

Question...As I had stated, I'm new to Impala Bob's. and I know you had a Spring 2014 Car Show in Mesa, AZ., but was wondering, will you be throwing a car show this year in Tracy, CA., by any chance? (just curious)

We just do the one local car show. Looks like there's an annual show in Tracy in July, which doesn't do you any good for now. But there two coming up in your area: The Orinda Classic Car Show Weekend Sept. 12-14 (http://www.orindacarshow.com) and the Madness of Main Street Car Show in Martinez Sept. 6 (http://www.mainstreetmartinez.org/eventDetails-eventId9).

I have a 1957 Bel Air 2 dr. sedan that I found in a field which was quite "rough" to say the least. I completely restored it and now take it to shows winning many 1st & 2nd place trophies. I did the complete restoration while battleing cancer which kept my mind off what ailed me. I am now cancer free and continue to show my pride and joy '57.

On you latest email update you have a picture of "Ron Otis' 1962 Impala SS." A closer inspection of the photo this 62' does not have SS trim on it. The radio antenna is vertical and located on the front passenger fender instead of angled on the rear fender. The side trip has a white painted insert instead of swirled aluminium one. The rear fender emblem does not appear to be the orange SS but the leaping Impala in the circle.

I am a original owner of a 67 Chevelle Super Sport. A California car all original with a smog system. The car was put in storage for over 27 years in my parents back shed an I forgot about it till they asked me what I was going to do with the car in there back shed. I took the car out an it sat in my yard for 3 more years. I than had a body shop some what restore it for me. I drove and trailered it for about 10 years. When I brought the car home it only had 17,000 miles . After showing the car for 10 years I had the car put back to total original state. This took 6 years because of the part that had to be original. The total mileage on my SS is 39,000. Out of the 48 years of owning this car I only drove it and trailer it for only 6 years.

Sounds a lot like my 1966 SS 396 Chevelle. I purchased this in 1969 from a dealership in Seattle. It had 25,000 miles on it at the time. It was a daily driver for me for 8 years and weekends at the drag strip. It went on blocks in 1977 and not driven since. I am currently doing a frame off build. It has become a restomod and built to my specs. I should have it on the road this year. It is mostly a show car but not a trailer queen as I will be driving it to the shows and cruising. It has a BPE 496 backed by a Tremec 6 speed.
