Impala Bob's is committed to protecting your privacy online.
What personally identifiable information does Impala Bob's collect from me, and how is it used?
Most of the information we collect from our customers is gathered when you request a catalog to be mailed to you, or when you place an order on-line. This information includes your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. This information is generally used to provide you with the services that you have requested, such as to send you a catalog, to communicate with you about an order which you have placed or are attempting to place, or to notify you by e-mail of a tracking number for a package being shipped to you.
From time to time, we may send you new catalogs, special promotions, or other mail that we feel might be of interest to you. If you prefer not to receive these mailings, please request to be put on our do-not-mail list.
From time to time, we may e-mail you our newsletter about new products, special offers and promotions, restoration tips, car shows and current events in the classic car hobby, car club information, and reader submitted stories. If you prefer not to receive these communications, you may unsubscibe yourself at any time, or request to be put on our do-not-email list.
With whom does Impala Bob's share this information?
We will not share your email address information with anyone.
From time to time, we trade or rent mailing lists to qualified publications or suppliers to the classic car hobby industry. All offers are carefully screened for relevance, and genuine benefit that we feel would be of interest to the majority of our clients. If you prefer not to receive offers or communications from organizations not affiliated with Impala Bob's, please request to be put on our do-not-rent list.
If you choose to "opt out", we will not share information about you with anyone else, unless we are legally required to do so. We value your privacy, and will respect your preferences.
How does Impala Bob's protect my personal information?
We have many safeguards in place to protect your personal information. When you place an order on our website, your browser will be communicating with our web server in SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption mode. When you are on the checkout page, and are asked to enter your credit card information, you may notice that there is a padlock symbol on your browser which will appear to be locked, and our web address will begin with https instead of http.
This means that any information you send to us will be encrypted, using a secure connection and the Blowfish encryption algorythm, which makes it almost impossible for other people to see what information you are sending us. Once credit card information is received with your order information on our secure servers, it will be authorized with your bank over a secure, encrypted connection, where interception by anybody else on the internet is virtually impossible.
Using this encryption technology is important to ensure the safety for our customers.
Impala Bob's is serious about the security of your personal information.
